I received this comment last night, I was annoyed and tired so I erased it, now I think that I should comment on it, here it is:
From Aaron: zingledot@hotmail.com
Acne is all but impossible to fix.
Body structure can't be helped.
Skin color is only skin deep
Nobody laughs because a car hit you and now you can't walk. But I'm
overweight, and I know its caused by sheer laziness and lack of self
control on my part. You can't pick on someone for something they have no control over, but unless your one of the very few with imbalanced hormones, its not unavoidable.
Listen here Aaron, while you are entitled to your opinion, this is my site and on my site you are entitled to MY opinion. So, without further Ado here it is. You are wrong. There I said it, while I understand where you may be coming from, it is still not right to make fun of overweight people. I can only assume that you are one of the people making fun of fat people. Why else would you say that you are overweight but it is because of laziness. Yes, at times I may be lazy, but that is not why I am overweight. I have struggled with weight since birth practically, I am very picky in what I like to eat, and my life would be a hellofa lot easier if I liked more foods. I know how to eat right, but why eat things I do not like. I know how to lose weight, but that does not mean that I can do it in a heart beat. I don't care what the reasons behind someone being overweight are, there is no excuse for people feeling it is ok to poke fun at me or anyone else because of it. What if someone is paralyzed because they drove drunk, does that then make it ok to make fun of them. That is basically what you are saying, because something may be self inflicted that gives others the right to say what they want. Ummmm no. If some idiot chose to drive drunk and becomes forced to live life in a wheelchair, that is self inflicted, but does NOT give me or anyone else the right to make fun of them. Maybe you need to look at your own life and your own feelings and see when it became ok to make fun of people for something whether it be self inflicted or not. There are no good reasons to make comments about other people because of anything. This is the whole problem with society, if someone else thinks a certain way that then makes it ok in their minds to make fun, regardless of why. I think that is just plain wrong. I am sorry if people have so little self esteem they feel the need to make fun of me because I am fat. Making fun of other people has nothing to do with anything other than fear. People poke fun at things that scare them to make themselves feel better. That's it. No other reason. It is time that we take back the control of the world and let people know it is not going to be tolerated any longer. As I have said before, it is NOT ok!
Feel free to rebut.

My point is not that anyone should ever be made fun of, picked on, or looked down upon for mistakes they have made in their life. The assumption that I would make fun of the person that can't walk because he was drinking is assuming a lot. Its not the mistakes you make, its what you CAN and DO learn from it.
What I look down upon is people who themselves look down on others because they refuse to accept an unhealthy, unnatural, unattractive standard, and refuse to put the blame on themselves. Consistantly.
Personally, since my last post, I've cheated on my diet, I admit; my friends like to eat out. But because I try, and because I sacrafice; I'm losing weight...consistantly. I'm giving up 'The American Way' that makes us the fattest country in the world.
...I see it every day. My boss wants to loose weight. Today its a salad with light dressing, tomorrow a bacon cheeseburger with fries. My other boss gets grilled chicken over a salad...with cheese and caesar dressing. Do I LIKE to eat grilled chicken with no oil over a salad with vinigar? No, I would prefer the double-bacon cheeseburger. Do I want to loose weight and be healthy? Yes.
Give up:
Pizza
ALL Fast food
sausage
bacon
large portions of meat
vending machine
regular soda
etc
etc....
It takes real dedication. Its takes real sacrifice. Don't bitch about what you don't get out, if you don't put in.

Well said!!
I'm overweight too, and have been most of my life. I can remember every single nasty comment directed at me from junior high and high school to this day.
Whether or not people can help what size they are is irrelevant- it is never appropriate to make rude comments about anyone.
Ugh! It upsets me to know that there are grown people out there still acting and thinking like they did in junior high.
Again, well said, and I like your site!
